DS Automobiles took part for the third time in the REVELATIONS show, from June 7 to 11, 2023 at the Grand Palais Ephémère on the Champ de Mars in Paris.
REVELATIONS is the international biennial of fine crafts and contemporary creation. This major commercial gathering of the sector is the place for lively debates between the creative market’s professionals and art & craft lovers, around unreleased work.
REVELATIONS was created in 2013 by Ateliers d'Art de France, the trade association representing 281 French artists and craftspeople.
DS Automobiles is the first automotive brand to take part in the event since 2019. Today, the brand is both exhibitor and partner of REVELATIONS. This collaboration illustrates the Brand’s ambition to embody French luxury savoir-faire in the automotive industry.
In 2019, DS Automobiles showcased the DS X E-TENSE concept. This dream-car, a vision of what automotive luxury will resemble in 2035, showcases new creations such as braided leather or feather inlay. The master upholsterers from the DS Design Studio were present to share their expertise, on display in every single DS Automobile vehicle.
In 2021, DS Automobiles showcased the DS AERO SPORT LOUNGE concept, whose interior features sustainable and noble materials such as satin cotton and straw marquetry. The brand also presented the results of its DS x METIERS d'ART design competition, focused on the creation of a unique interior trim of a DS 9.
In 2023, DS Automobiles presented its M.i. 21 Manifesto, a vision of the future of the interiors of its next models, which revealed its design codes and innovations. The Brand also presented the creations of 9 art craftspeople, who reinterpreted the grille of DS 3 E-TENSE, as part of the second episode of the DS x METIERS D'ART design contest.
“REVELATIONS is dedicated to savoir-faire, fine crafts and crafts people’s excellence. We have been present there for several years. We are dealing with a public sensitive to the avant-garde, to beautiful materials, to stylistic know-how, design. It’s interesting to have their feedback, their impressions, their feelings, it’s like a life-size test.” Thierry METROZ - DS Automobiles Design Director.
