Watchband Leather
The watchstrap manufacture of leather seats is a signature of the DS models. The expression comes from the designers, who imagined a pattern inspired by a metal watch strap, composed of vertical rectangles in the center, surrounded by squares.
More than a year and a half of development was needed to develop these seats. Each skin is mounted on a bracelet-shaped template, covered with a canvas that allows you to fold the leather to shape it. Three people make the seat covering for each operation: the initial, manual cut, the shaping and finally the adaptation of the skin to the seat.
